We compare our mattresses toTempur-Pedic® because you may have slept on or felt a tempurpedic® mattress. First, there are a few things you need to understand about the Tempurpedic® mattress line (including – the Classic bed by tempurpedic®, the Deluxe bed by tempurpedic®, the Rhapsody bed by tempurpedic® and the Celebrity bed tempurpedic®) – We are grateful they have spent millions of dollars plus per year to bring you the news about memory foam and create the demand. Don’t forget - you are the one who pays for that advertising when you buy their mattresses.
Many companies have caught up with Tempurpedics memory foam technology (remember there is no patent on NASA visco elastic memory foam) so the high cost the national brand charges for a mattress has become unjustified. We also know for a company to continue to adulate about creating a product first does not mean they are the best (industry after industry can validate that). So when we compare our mattresses to a Tempurpedic® take these factors into consideration… Most importantly, we have some features that keep us unique not only with Tempur-pedic® but many of the other competitive mattress companies. The most important feature when comparing a mattress to the Tempurpedic® line is the density of the foam and how that density was achieved.
Our mattresses are made with foam measured at one cubic foot. Be skeptical when other retailers tell you their mattresses compare to the tempurpedic line, but they only sell 3lb and 4lb density mattresses. The reason Tempurpedic does not make a 3lb or 4lb mattress is because the lower density mattresses do not hold up and just like any company – they do not want to exchange their products because they were made inferior. Tempur-pedic has continued to sell high density mattresses and Beverly Hills Bed has done the same
